Deal left needing only UK competition authority support before completion
The London Stock Exchange Group has won vital shareholder
support for its planned £1.6bn takeover of US index firm
Frank Russell, paving the way for a deal that could transform
the British exchange’s index franchise.
The LSE said on Wednesday that 99.9% of participating
shareholders voted in favour of the transaction at a general
meeting held in London.
