Chicago exchange's flagship enjoyed unprecedented demand last month
The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) futures platform,
CFE, saw its most active trading month ever due to its flagship
volatility index (Vix) futures.
During August around 4.6m Vix futures were traded, up 29% on
the same month last year, as heightened tensions in the Middle
East sparked activity on CBOE’s so-called 'fear
