LME Clear, the new clearing house set for by the London
Metal Exchange (LME), has won crucial regulatory backing to
move ahead with its planned launch later this month, making LME
the latest European exchange to win approval.
LME Clear won approval as a recognised central counterparty
(CCP) from the Bank of England under the European Markets
Infrastructure Regulation (Emir) on Wednesday.
