Data rather than technology is the key to firms ensuring
they have the proper levels of market surveillance, a key
regulatory requirement, a senior academic has argued.
Professor Michael Aitken, the chief executive of an
Australian government-backed research group, said there are
plenty of good surveillance systems available but firms are
falling down on the data they enter into these platforms.
