CEO of HKEx says that market readiness tests will begin this month
Charles Li, the CEO of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing
(HKEx), has outlined some more detail on the link between the
equity markets of Hong and Shanghai.
A connection between Hong Kong and China’s
equity markets will open in October when the Shanghai-Hong Kong
Stock Connect goes live.
It will allow firms to trade between the Shanghai Stock
Exchange (SSE) and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is seen as
a key development in the opening up of Chinese capital
