Strong performance in leading China A-share contract offset declines elsewhere
The Singapore Exchange has reported flat year-on-year
volumes for July following a surge in trading on the China A50
contract that offset declines elsewhere.
Total derivatives trading volume for the month stood at 8.9m
contracts, up 3% from June and par with July 2013.
The China A50 future, which benchmarks against the FTSE
China A50 index, continued its rapid growth during the month
with 3.2m contracts traded, up from 1.7m in July 2013 and 2.3
