The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has proposed
changes to the regulatory framework for overseeing financial
benchmarks in the latest international move to overhaul these
crucial industry standards.
MAS has proposed that administrators of benchmarks should be
subject to new licensing requirements and the manipulation of
any financial benchmarks in Singapore should be a criminal
