Court found Sunrise right to hold salary from broker who refused to work notice
A senior British court has found in favour of a derivatives
firm that brought a case against one of its brokers that walked
out and refused to work his notice period, setting a precedent
for City workers set to quit their jobs.
The British High Court said this week that Sunrise Brokers,
a London-based inter-dealer broker and derivatives expert, was
right to withhold the pay of precious metal broker Michael
Rodgers after he quit the firm and refused to work his notice
