O'Malia, who only left the CFTC this week, will take over as ISDA chief next month
Trade body the International Swaps and Derivatives
Association has hired Scott O’Malia, the former
commissioner of the US futures regulator, as its new chief
executive, marking an interesting twist in the evolving US
O’Malia, who was the longest serving
commissioner at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission
until he quit on Monday, will take over as ISDA chief on
August 18, according to the trade association.
