Several brokers hope to tap growing demand for screens
Inter-dealer broker Tradition saw trading on its global
interest rate swaps platform hit new highs last month, with 750
trades executed with a notional volume of $50bn.
The increase was largely driven by a general shift in
broking methods that has seen banks moving to screens, such as
Tradition’s Trad-X, over voice execution.
Electronically executed trades now account for a third of all
US dollar trades at Tradition.
