US markets have slowed in recent months after a fairly strong start to 2014
Trading on the largest US derivatives exchanges continued to
slide as volumes for options and futures contracts dropped
across the board throughout June.
Derivatives volume in the US declined for a third
consecutive month as low volatility in the interest rate and
equity index market continue to plague trading on the CME and
Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).
