Japanese authorities set to mandate electronic swap clearing next year
Japan has cleared its first electronic yen swap more than a
year before the rules that mandate electronic trading take
effect, bringing the Japanese market into line with the US
which has already taken this step.
The cleared yen swap transaction took place between Bank of
Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Limited and Deutsche Bank, with Tradeweb
providing clearing services.
