Investment banks are trying to reduce their capital adequacy commitments
The commodities market is set for radical change as a new
breed of traders move in to take market share from the
world’s top banks, a consultancy has claimed.
SunGard Consulting Group, part of the tech giant, said the
recent withdrawal of several large banks from commodities
trading, due to increasing regulation and lower profitability,
will pave the way for new entrants.
