The CFTC has extended to the end of the year the relief for non-US dealers
Non-US swap dealers have been given an extension to prepare
for the tough rules set out by the US Commodity Futures Trading
The no-action letter extends the end of relief from
September 15 to December 31 2014, stretching the period in
which foreign banks can use a US agent to enter into swap
transactions with non-US persons without being subject to the
controversial Dodd Frank rules.
