The European government agency has published its proposed technical standards
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has
taken the first step in the implementation of the revised
Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid II) by
publishing a consultation paper.
Mifid II is set to overhaul EU’s financial
markets, containing reforms aimed at bringing transparency
requirements for a broad range of asset classes by requiring
all derivatives to be traded on exchange.
