Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing (HKEx) has gained approval
from the US derivatives regulator to clear OTC derivatives
transactions with US persons, writes Joe
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Thursday
issued no-action relief to HKEx’s OTC clearing
house (OTC Clear), allowing it to offer it’s
clearing services to eligible US persons without being
registered as a derivatives clearing organisation (DCO).
