The European Parliament is set to approve the second version of Mifid
The European Parliament will approve the second version of
the Markets in Financials Instruments Directive (Mifid) on
Tuesday, the next step in a long-process to drastically reform
Europe’s derivatives markets, writes Joe
The vote will see the European Securities and Markets
Authority (Esma) taking on the majority of the work in
implementing the reforms, which is set to launch a draft
consultation period on the technical standards of Mifid.
