FOW data shows US derivatives volumes on the rise, while trading on Europe's exchanges has fallen this year
Derivatives exchanges in the US have seen improved trading
volumes throughout the first two months of this year, in
contrast to the activity on the platforms of their European
counterparts according to FOW data, writes Joe
Prior to the Ukraine crisis, volatility remained flat in
Europe this year, which appears to have had a knock-on effect
on year-to-date volumes for European exchanges during January
According to FOW data, four of Europes top five
exchanges have reported declines in activity during the first
two months of 2014.
