Over 200 delegates heard the latest thinking on the European derivatives markets at 10 December at London’s most innovative derivatives conference, FOW Derivatives World London: The Debates.
The event, now in its second year in the new format hosted two
Oxford Union-style debates and a series of brief talks from key
industry thinkers including Santander’s Colin
Bennett who spoke on volatility trading, and Steve Grob of
Fidessa who discussed the changing business model for
The opening panel of the day saw a group of leading figures in
the market discussing the eovniroment for 2013 and predicting a
continued revival of fortunes in 2014.
Rising volumes, increasing flows of business to capture and
more clarity surrounding regulations has seen the market
recover from a stagnant 2012.
