The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has approved
three more swap execution facilities, on the same day that its
chairman Gary Gensler said the regulators are only giving them
a cursory view, writes Jonathan Watkins.
With less than two weeks to go until rules kick in mandating
US counterparties to trade swaps through Sefs, the CFTC has
been pushing through the applications and has now approved 10
