The DTCC acquires full ownership of Omgeo purchasing the remaining share from Thomson Reuters
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has
agreed to acquire full ownership of Omgeo, combining its
existing 50% stake with the remaining held by Thomson
The post-trade specialist was formed in 2001 with DTCC and
Thomson Reuters as its equal owners.
Throughout its 12 years of operation Omgeo has experienced
rapid growth, and has expanded its services to
straight-through-processing (STP) for institutional post-trade
processing, a central matching solution and an account and
standing settlement instruction (SSI) database.
