The head of Nasdaq's new London venue on preparing for launch and what the future may hold
Nasdaq OMX NLX, the newest derivatives trading venue in
Europe, went live a range of interest rate futures on 31
Initially offering trading at both ends of the curve,
the London-based multilateral trading facility (MTF) is
attempting to offer an alternative to incumbent exchanges in
the region such as NYSE Liffe and Eurex.
Its launch also potentially heralds the start of a wider
shake-up in the derivatives industry following the impact of
sweeping regulatory changes being introduced under Emir, Mifid
II, Basel III and Dodd-Frank.
