The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s new definition of a block trade will have to be rewritten, the regulator’s commissioner Scott O’Malia said at the FIA Boca conference on March 16.
O’Malia acknowledged that the industry was
dissatisfied with the draft rule, published in December. "Based
on the comments received we are clear that we have to go back
to the drawing board on that one," he said.
