The Tokyo Commodity Exchange has begun closer collaboration with the Japan Commodity Clearing House after becoming its majority shareholder, with a view to modernising it.
However, Mitsuhiro Onosato, executive director of Tocom,
stopped short of embracing the recommendations of
Japan’s Futures Industry Association for an
immediate overhaul of the clearing house.
