Breteau has held a number of
senior positions since he joined the group, starting at Fimat
in 1993. He was most recently global head of sales and front
office. Earlier in his career he was Fimat’s UK
chief executive and managing director Europe.
Duncan Goldie-Morrison has been made full time, independent
chairman of the board. He has been chairman of
Newedge’s board since May 2009, representing
Crédit Agricole, and has now resigned his position of
senior advisor to Patrick Valroff, Crédit
Agricole’s chief executive.
This appointment ends the rotation of Newedge’s
chairmanship between its two shareholders, reflecting the
firm’s determination to strengthen its governance
and the role of the chairman.
