NYSE Euronext has launched two new French and Dutch blue
chip dividend indices on its cash market, with a view to
listing futures on them "in the nearest future". A Liffe
spokesperson in London said there was no specific launch date
yet for the futures.
The CAC 40 Dividend Index and the AEX Dividend Index measure
the cumulative value of ordinary gross dividends, declared and
paid by companies in the CAC 40 and AEX indices of Paris and
In May NYSE Liffe introduced FTSE 100 Dividend futures. Some
397,000 contracts have been traded since then, with open
interest standing at over 558,000 contracts.
