Wheat Futures and Options on Monday September 14 and options
the following day.
The deliverable WAW Futures, which will be based on the
Kwinana track market, are designed to serve the risk management
and price discovery needs of all parties involved in exporting
Australian milling wheat.
ASX said the contract was "a natural extension" of its
existing grain and oilseed futures and options, which are used
by market participants in Australia’s eastern
Those contracts reached a record level of trading in August,
when more than 600,000 tonnes of Australian grain and oilseed
changed hands on ASX.
