Bursa Malaysia and CME Group have signed their partnership
agreement, first announced in August.
CME will acquire 25% of the Asian exchange for M$55.6m
($16m) in cash and shares by the end of this year, while Bursa
Malaysia will list its derivatives on CME’s
electronic platform, Globex, in the second half of 2010.
CME will also license Bursa Malaysia’s Crude
Palm Oil Futures settlement price to list its own dollar
contract next year.
