MF Global has appointed Paul Farrell as its new global head
of foreign exchange in New York. Farrell joins from JP Morgan
Chase, where he had worked since 1973.
Bernie Dan, MF Global’s chief executive, said:
"I am confident that Paul’s considerable
experience and strong relationships will enable him to drive
our expansion strategy, particularly in the Asia Pacific
region, as well as to discover and seize opportunities for
clients in the foreign exchange markets."
MF Global employs 60 people in its FX team. A New York-based
spokesperson said: "We’re always looking to
opportunistically add to the team."
Frank Lentini, who was interim global head of FX, will now
lead the FX team in New York.
