The London Metal Exchange will launch its cobalt and
molybdenum contracts in February 2010, the
exchange’s chief executive said on July 10. The
new contracts had been scheduled for launch in the second half
of 2009, but the introduction date had to be postponed until a
new clearing platform could be in place.

clearing house that also clears for Liffe, the London Stock
Exchange and NYSE Euronext, to finish replacing its Matching
and Clearing System with Synapse, a new platform.
