- Singapore Exchange (SGX) has appointed
Jeremy Ang Peng Leong as chief executive
officer of Singapore Commodity Exchange (Sicom). The
appointment comes after SGX’s acquisition of the
commodity exchange in June. Ang is managing director for
derivatives and group treasury at DBS Vickers. He was
instrumental in expanding the company’s
infrastructure to support an extended product offering to
cover global commodities for both exchange-traded and OTC
products, as well as financial futures.
- Jeffery Singer has been appointed as
chief executive officer and to the board of Dubai
International Financial Exchange (DIFX) replacing
Per Larsson. Larsson leaves after a successful two years that
brought about the creation of the partnership between The
Nasdaq OMX Group and DIFX. Singer joins DIFX from Nasdaq OMX,
where he was senior vice-president and head of international,
responsible for its global business development with the
primary role of managing international relationships with
companies outside of the Americas.
- Jessica Williams has left her position
as member liaison executive of London Metal Exchange.
Williams previously worked at Patsystems for eight years as
vice-president head of marketing, working with the global
team to push front-end and risk management systems for
