CFTC to hold discussions on agriculture derivatives markets
Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will convene a
public meeting to discuss recent events affecting the
agriculture markets given recent volatility.
The meeting will include the lack of convergence between the
futures and cash prices, higher margin requirements and the
impact on market participants. The role of speculators and
commodity index traders will also be discussed.
