Eurex, ISE and OCC announce clearing link
Eurex, International Securities Exchange (ISE) and Options
Clearing Corporation (OCC) have plans for a cross-Atlantic
trading and clearing link for equity options, they revealed at
the FIA Boca Conference in Boca Raton, Florida on March
Under the plan, which requires Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) approval, Eurex customers will have access to
ISE options using the Eurex network. ISE, Eurex and Eurex
Clearing have signed a preliminary agreement with OCC which
will allow Eurex customers to clear contracts traded via the
link to ISE through their existing clearing accounts at Eurex
Clearing. In other words, a Eurex customer can trade any of the
2,000 equity options and FX products on ISE and clear them at
Eurex Clearing. A more formal agreement is expected soon and
