Barclays Bank has become a clearing member of
Singapore Exchange (SGX), becoming the first bank to take
advantage of new rules which came into effect in August.
Locally-regulated banks are now allowed to become clearing
members, with SGX saying it is also working to allow them to
take up trading membership as well, in response to market
