The House Committee on Agriculture passed a measure to
reauthorize Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The move, which reauthorizes the Commission until fiscal
year 2013, provides a number of new powers for the regulator
including increased authority to oversee FX trading as well as
implementing the suggested changes to monitor so-called Exempt
Commercial Markets (ECMs).
