Floor traders suffer new exchange regime
New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex) is continuing to chop
staff as volume migrates further from the pits to the
A Nymex spokesperson confirmed that staff cuts and severance
packages have trimmed staff to about 465 at the time of going
to press, from over 500 last year. Many of the job losses are
hitting floor staff.
