Euronext Liffe has defended stock futures contracts on its
B-Clear system ahead of arch rival Eurex's planned launch of 17
single stock futures which will compete directly. The launch of
17 British shares with the effective date of 21 May will mean
that Eurex offers sterling-denominated products for trading and
clearing for the first time.
