Taiwan Futures Exchange (Taifex)'s top executive is looking
to take the exchange public while also considering switching to
a new trading platform.
Rong-I Wu, chairman of Taifex who joined the exchange last
July, told FO Week that the Taifex will pursue an IPO
over the next 18 months, but first must gain regulatory
"An IPO would follow the world trend," Wu said at the annual
Futures Industry Association conference in Boca Raton, Florida.
"But first our emphasis will be on IT."
