Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) has filed a brief in support
of its motion for partial summary judgment against Chicago
Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in the ongoing dispute over
CBoT filed a comment letter with Securities and Exchange
Commission (SEC) opposing CBOE's proposed rule change that
would eliminate CBoT exercise rights. Exercise rights allow
CBoT members to trade on either CBoT or CBOE which has provoked
a long-standing argument between the exchanges. CBOE is
attempting to demutualise and go public over the next year but
the filing could slow or prevent CBOE from reaching its
