Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) will launch officially on 1
May having been delayed on a number of occasions as a trading
platform was chosen and developed.
DME, a joint venture between Tatweer, a member of Dubai
Holding, and New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex), is to use a
version of Nymex's ClearPort trading system, a platform which
Nymex itself has largely dropped in favour of Chicago
Mercantile Exchange's Globex system. DME has, however,
described Clearport as "state-of-the-art".
