Aslew of names have been circulating for the two vacant
Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) commissioner seats
in recent weeks, with some claims that one party had already
chosen its candidate, while other sources said it could be
months before nominations for the posts were made.
Industry sources said that several former and current CFTC
staff members have been mentioned as potential candidates for
the two posts - one Republican and one Democrat. Currently, the
commissioners are Reuben Jeffery, Michael Dunn and Walter
