Comex members met on 14 November to discuss the finer points
on their proposed deal with New York Mercantile Exchange
(Nymex) that would provide metals division members with Nymex
shares and assurances for the trading floor in return for
listing contracts on the Nymex Globex platform.
Members were scheduled to vote on 20 November on the
proposed deal, following Nymex's scheduled IPO on 17 November.
The proposal, already approved by Nymex members, was expected
to be approved overwhelmingly by Comex members.
