Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) has announced plans to use
an updated version of New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex)'s
Clearport trading system. Nymex itself recently selected
Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)'s Globex system for its own
electronic products but DME described the ClearPort technology,
as "state-of-the-art" in a statement issued last week.
Sources familiar with the situation believed that the
service provided by Nymex constituted part of the original deal
struck with DME and would be provided at no extra cost.
