Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT)'s bid to capture the US gold
market has received a boost in recent months with rapidly
increasing open interest. While the exchange has gained around
50% of the overall market, open interest has been viewed as a
key factor in determining the fate of the contract as fund
investors make up a key segment of the gold market.
