Heads of US options exchanges speaking during last week's
London derivatives week said that they were looking to follow
US futures exchanges in aggressively marketing themselves in
Talking to FO Week last week, executive director of
Options Industry Council (OIC) Michael Walinskas said that his
organisation was in the process of conducting a survey into
European participation in options markets. He estimated,
though, that 10-20% of the overall US options market came from
across the Atlantic.
