The potential merger between Euronext and New York Stock
Exchange would not alter the competitive landscape in the US,
according to Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME)'s CEO Craig
Speaking to journalists at a press briefing in London on 20
June, Donohue said that Euronext Liffe was "already a
formidable exchange," adding, "I don't think this [possible
deal] changes that in the short term".
