Euronext said last week it was committed to its deal with
New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) despite reports emerging of
discontented NYSE shareholders and a renewed bid from Deutsche
Euronext last week said that it had not received a new
proposal from the German exchange. A spokesperson for the
exchange told FO Week that it was still focused on a
merger with NYSE. She said, "NYSE is the superior proposal on
every level. It is the one we have agreed to and the one we are
committed to seeing through."
