Judge's decision closes first chapter of hedge fund liability case
The contempt motion against Man Financial brought by
Philadelphia Alternative Asset Management (PAAM) receiver Clark
Hodgson has been dropped and Man's protective order granted by
the court, moves regarded by many as a small but significant
victory for the brokerage.
According to documents filed with US District Court for
Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the first chapter in the case
has been closed with the withdrawal without prejudice of
Hodgson's original contempt filing made almost a year ago (see
FO Week Vol 10 No 39).
