London Metal Exchange (LME)'s delayed extension to its
electronic trading hours, designed to increase the market's
appeal to Asian traders, went ahead on 1 June. Although the
exchange does not publish volume figures it confirmed that it
had received regulatory approval from authorities in Singapore,
Japan and China, allowing access from those countries.
