Chicago Board of Trade (CBoT) launched side-by-side trading
its ethanol futures contract on 31 May, a move that exchange
officials hope will jump-start the contract.
As the second agriculture contract to be launched
side-by-side after South American soybeans (see FO
Week Vol 11 No 20), the exchange was hoping that listing
the contract on the E-CBoT trading platform during pit trading
hours will stimulate more trading in the product.
